Receptions / Gallery Talks

The Museum of Wisconsin Art generally hosts two types of reception/gallery talks in conjunction with its temporary exhibitions. All exhibitions open on Wednesdays and are followed on Friday morning by a Sneak Peek Friday. Held at 10:30 a.m. Sneak Peek Friday is an informal educational program that begins with refreshments followed by a speaker who maybe a museum staff member or artist participating in the exhibition. Artist demonstrations are often part of the program. Admission is free and no reservations are necessary. Call the museum for more details.

Receptions are held for most other exhibitions, particularly those featuring living artists. These are most often held on Saturdays or Sundays in the afternoon. Admission is free and no reservations are necessary. Call the museum for more details.
