Founded
in 2000 by 6 local artists, the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network
(MARN) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit art-service organization dedicated to
enriching the community by supporting individual literary, performing
and visual artists. MARN empowers artists with access to educational and
professional resources and creates a network for communication and
collaboration. MARN sponsors arts-related events, making the arts
accessible to people of all economic and educational backgrounds.
Today
MARN is continuing their commitment to building Milwaukee’s creative
community and working toward bringing national exposure to Milwaukee’s
extraordinary creative class. MARN recently realized a
10-year goal of a gallery and workshop space of their own. Located at
5407 W. Vliet St. MARN's presentation and exhibition space is quickly
becoming a hub of the Washington Heights neighborhood.
MARN’s
commitment to Milwaukee’s artists, across disciplines, includes a
leadership team composed of artists from various fields.
