Wisconsin Women in the Arts, Inc

WWIA was a non-profit organization founded in 1973 after the National Seminar of women Artists was held at wingspread in Racine, WI.  With over 500 members in Wisconsin and across the nation, WWIA acted as a network for the visual arts, concentrating on an audience in Wisconsin.

In 1988/89 the West Bend Gallery of Fine Arts (now the Museum of Wisconsin Art) and Wisconsin Women in the Arts, Inc. sponsored Wisconsin Women in the Arts' 88/89 exhibition.  This exhibition was supported by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Museum of Wisconsin Art Archive and Library has the original exhibition catalog from the 1111198/89 exhibition. W 704.04 WWA 1988-89
