Biographical Brief

Studied: State University of New York, Oswego, New York, B.S. 1957.
              School for American Craftsmen, Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, M.F.A. 1960
Teaching Career: 1960-1963: State University of New York; 1961, 1962: Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Deer Isle, Maine (Assistant Instructor, Summers); 1963 - c.1975: Penland School of Crafts, Penland, North Carolina and Professor Emeritus at University of Wisconsin-Madison (1965-1990). Taught woodworking in Art Department.
Started out as a Potter and clay sculptor for about 10 years and then began his woodworking Career.
