Biographical Brief

1946: began his formal study of art through the G.I. Bill at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received a B.S. degree. 
1952: received a MFA degree from Columbia University.
1975-1981: served as head of the art department at the State University of New York at Albany.
He had a 50 year distinguished career as a studio art professor, teaching at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, Olivet College in Michigan and the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia.
