MWA welcomes families of all ages to this new, interactive, fun program series.
Drop in for special art making projects, gallery tours, exploration games, performances
and surprises.
Join us for an afternoon of exciting activities as the museum comes alive. Stay
for an hour, or stay for the afternoon! Free with general admission. Children under
12 are always free! Free for museum members.

Saturday, June 19 – Metal, Chalk and Animals
On June 19, the museum grounds will become a carnival of arts and activities. Join
us for a family chalk art drawing activity on the sidewalks, watch guest metal artist
Bill Reid lead a welding demonstration, and listen to a 40-piece concert by the
local community ensemble, River City Irregulars. Explore the animal sculptures of
Bill Reid. Celebrate the arts at MWA with your family.
Special Note: The outdoor activities are weather permitting. In the case of rain,
activities will be held indoors.

On August 21 we explore the art of portraits. Make your own
family portrait in the art studio. Watch guest artists sketch in the
galleries, and have your family portrait sketched on site!
Take a try at a gallery scavenger hunt. View the art from the
