Reception: Sunday, January 22, 1:30 - 4:00 P.M.

Packaging crowds the visual backdrop of our day-to-day routine and Alison Stehlik is very interested in the role that branding plays in the evolution of our collective personal identities. Her work is an exploration of how commodity is reflected in our personal identity, but is it also sort of a psychological experiment; to what degree can a brand be abstracted and still be readable? How much has branding and design impacted our perception of symbols in this world?

With an educational background in zoology and microbiology, Milwaukee based artist Kendall Polster has been making art full-time since 1994. Obsessed with the process, Kendall performs a kind of alchemy – transforming metal parts that many would consider junk, into objects that are serious, playful, whimsical, wacky and practical. While he creates a lot of very practical furniture and custom work, this exhibition will feature some of his sculpture that will delight, amaze and intrigue.
